Healthy Navratri Special: Makhana Kheer Recipe for Diabetics

Ingredients: Milk, makhana (fox nuts), stevia (or preferred sweetener), and a mix of dry fruits (like almonds, cashews, and raisins).

Prepare Makhana: Lightly roast 1 cup of makhana in a pan until crisp. Set aside.

Boil Milk: In a pot, bring 2 cups of milk to a gentle boil.

Add Makhana: Once the milk is boiling, add the roasted makhana and simmer for 10-15 minutes until softened.

Sweeten: Stir in stevia or your chosen sweetener to taste, adjusting as needed.

Incorporate Dry Fruits: Add chopped dry fruits for flavor and texture, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Allow the kheer to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled as a delicious fasting treat!
