Chhath Special Jaggery Free Thekua for Diabetics

Diabetes-Friendly Thekua  Diabetes won't let you celebrate the festival to its fullest? Worry not! We have a healthier version of Thekua.

Ingredients:  Whole Wheat Flour - 1 cup Desiccated Coconut - ¼ cup Stevia or Erythritol  to taste

Ghee - 2 tbsp Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp Water - as needed

Instructions:  Step 1  Make Dough  Combine flour, coconut, ghee, cardamom, and sweetener. Add water gradually to make a firm dough.

Step 2 - Shape & Bake  Shape dough into small discs and put them in a tray. Microwave and bake at 180°C until golden brown.

Although these Thekuas are diabetes-friendly, you will practice portion control. Overeating may result in excess calorie intake.

Health Benefits  Using a sugar substitute and baking Thekuas helps keep this traditional snack low in carbs. Thus making it ideal for diabetics.
