Diabetic Friendly Chana Dal Soup Recipe

Soak 1 cup chana dal for 1-2 hours; drain.

Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in 1 tbsp oil until translucent.

Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder; sauté for a minute.

Add soaked chana dal, cook briefly, then add carrots and tomatoes.

Pour in 6 cups vegetable or chicken broth, add salt, and simmer for 30-40 minutes. ( optional )

Optionally, blend a portion of the soup for a smoother consistency.

Adjust seasoning, garnish with coriander, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
